No. The rear camera is a 2K recorder that films behind you while you ride and while the bike is parked, with a G-sensor that locks the clip after a hit. It is not a backup camera and it does not come on when you roll backwards.
Why it matters
The confusion is fair: a rear camera on a vehicle usually means reversing. Here the pair of cameras is for evidence and for the road behind you, which is the thing you cannot see in a mirror at speed.
