Not according to Apple. The Tesla Model Y does not appear on Apple's official list of CarPlay-compatible models (checked September 15, 2026). That is an observation about the list, and it matches how the car is built: the Tesla Model Y runs Tesla's own software, and factory CarPlay is not part of it.
What Apple's list shows
Tesla does not appear on Apple's list at all, for any model. Tesla vehicles run Tesla's own software on the center screen, and factory CarPlay has never been part of it. If you have seen CarPlay on a Tesla screen, it was through a third-party device that mirrors a phone into the car's browser, not through the car itself.
What that means for CarPlay accessories
Devices that plug into a car's CarPlay port, such as a wireless CarPlay adapter, an AI Box that adds Android apps to the factory screen, or a back-seat camera that shows on that screen, need a factory wired CarPlay port to plug into. The Tesla Model Y does not have one, so those products, including ours, will not work in it. We would rather say that here than take the return.
There is a different kind of device for cars like this: a box that works through the car's built-in browser rather than through CarPlay. We are evaluating one and will list it only when the manufacturer confirms which models it supports. Until then, the honest answer for a Tesla Model Y is that a CarPlay accessory is the wrong purchase.

Plug an iPhone into the car's USB port with a cable. If CarPlay appears on the screen, that car has wired CarPlay regardless of what any list says; if it does not, it does not. For the Tesla Model Y we would expect nothing to appear.
